What Is the Goal? / Les ballons rouges (1967)

“Les ballons rouges” / Was ist das Ziel? ” – Serge Lama / Alexandra
In 1965, Serge Lama was seriously injured in a severe car accident. During
his long convalescence, he wrote the song “Les ballons rouges”, in which he sings about the
loneliness a child experiences. Alexandra made a German version of the song “Was ist das Ziel?”. She also sings about loneliness, but from the perspective of an adult.

The French chansonnier Serge Lama had already given Alexandra a template in 1967 with his classic “Les ballons rouges” already a perfect foundation.

Her German translation is magnificent.

Lama had written this song after a very serious car accident.

The text deals with his loneliness and childhood problems. The video was produced by CHRISTOPHE GLAUDEL. You can see images of unknown men whom CHRISTOPHE GLAUDEL, who is actually a photographer, approached in Paris for this video. They are not professional models. CHRISTOPHE GLAUDEL works for both commercial and private projects. After his high school diploma at a Catholic Jesuit school in the northern French city of Amiens, where he also worked as a tour guide in the largest and most beautiful cathedral in France, he began his studies with great success at the National Institute of Photography in Arles. With great patience and professionalism, he also supports me on my artist website and that of my hometown Aarschot: www.museum-Aarschot.be

The singers Bécaud and Lama but also Adamo begged the beauty Alexandra to sing their songs in German. She was a muse of fashion designer Claude Montana. In 1969, Alexandra died in a mysterious accident at the age of 27. Pieter is a fan of hers and sings some of her songs as a tribute.
